Đây là lần thứ hai tôi đến Tu Viện Gaden Shartse Thubten Dhargye Ling (còn được gọi là Chùa TDL) tại Thành Phố Long Beach, Miền Nam California, Hoa Kỳ. Lần đầu tôi đến đây cách nay vài năm để làm phóng sự cho pháp sự kiến tạo Mạn Đà La do chư Tăng từ Tu Viện Gaden Shartse Monastery tại Ấn Độ sang thực hiện.

Phái đoàn Hoằng Pháp Âu Mỹ đã đến thăm Orange County và tổ chức buổi cơm chay "Gây Quỹ Xây Dựng Học Viện Phật Giáo Viên Giác tại Đức Quốc" vào thứ bảy ngày 5/10/2024 tại trung tâm Sangha, 7641 Talbert Avenue, thành phố Huntington Beach....Kiều Mỹ Duyên có buổi phỏng vấn Hòa Thượng Thích Như Điển và Hòa Thượng Thích Thông Triết vào thứ hai ngày 7/10/2024 trên đài truyền hình VBS 57.6 cùng cô Thu Anh, chuyên viên địa ốc.

Ăn thịt chó lâu lâu lại nổi lên như một vấn đề trọng đại của đất nước, kéo theo những cuộc biểu tình, phản đối làm đau đầu chính phủ. Và người ta đã xót xa, lên án những người hành hạ chó hay ăn thịt chó. Đặc biệt trong thế giới Tây Phương và Hoa Kỳ. Mới đây trong cuộc tranh luận với Bà Harris trên đài truyền hình ABC, Ô. Trump nói rằng di dân Haiti ở Tiểu Bang Ohio đã ăn thịt thú cưng (chó mèo) khiến gây phản ứng phẫn nộ, thậm chí dọa giết khiến cộng đồng ở đây vô cùng lo sợ. Thế nhưng theo sở cảnh sát Springfield, nguồn tin trên không có gì đáng tin cậy và không có chuyện thú cưng bị hại hay làm bị thương hay hành hạ bới người dân ở đây. Đấy người ta yêu thú vật như thế đó và sẵn sàng giết người, bạo động để bảo vệ thú vật.
