Dù đang cảm thấy giận dữ hay thèm khát, an vui hay đau buồn,

Three Keys Penetrating the Core
Dza Patrul Jigme Chokyi Wangpo

-

The Uniqueness of the Wise Glorious Monarch:
Three Keys Penetrating the Core

Homage to the mamas.

The view is the multitidinous great expanse (Longchen Rabjam)

The Meditation is light rays of knowledge and empathy (Kyentze Oser)

The behavior is the shoot of a Victor (Gyalwe Nyugu)

For one who practices in this way, there is no hesitation about buddhahood in one life.

Though not such, amazing blissful awareness! A LA LA!

The view, the multitudinous expanse.

Is cast in practical essentials of three keys

I.

First set your own mind in a relaxed state,

Not emitting, not withdrawing, without cenceptuality.

In this relaxed state of total ansorption,

Suddenly shout PAT, striking your awareness,

Strong, intense, short. E MA HO!

Not anything, astounding.

Astounding, unimpeded penetration.

Unimpeded penetration, inexpressible.

Identify innermost awareness of the truth body.

Its entity is identified within youself - the first essential.

II.

Then, whether spreading out or abiding within,

Whether angry or desirous, happy or sad.

At all times and occasions,

Recognize the indentified pristine wisdom truth body.

For those with prior acquaintance, the mother and child clear lights meet.

Be founded in the inexpressible state of the quality of innermost awareness.

Stability, bliss, luminisity, and delight should again and again be destroyed.

Make the syllable of method and wisdom suddenly descend.

Meditative equipoise and subsequent attainment do not differ.

Continuously dwelling in the undifferentiable state,

Session and between-session are not divided,

However, until attaining stability,

Meditation within having abandoned commotion is to be valued.

Practice is done within division into sessions.

At all times and occasions,

Maintain the display of just the truth body,

Be firmly decided that there is none other than this.

Be determined on this alone - the second essential.

III.

At this time, within knowing the basic entity

Of all desires and hatreds, pleasures and pains,

And all adventitious conceptions, no subsequent connection is made.

Through identifying the truth body, the mode of release,

They become like writing on water.

With uninterrupted self-appearance and self-release

Whatver dawns is sustenance for naked empty awareness.

Whatever fluctuates is the royal sport of the truth body,

Self-purifying without  a trace. A LA LA.

The way they dawn is like earlier,

But the modes of release are importanly different.

Meditation without this is a mistaken path.

Those having this, without meditation, are within the truth body.

Confidence, is found upon release - the third essential.

This view endowed with three essential points

Is assisted by and assists meditation entwined with axalted knowledge and empathy,

As well as the general deeds of the three times consulted together,

They would have no guidance exceeding this.

The revealer of the treasure from the vastness of wisdom.

Extractions of earth  and stone differ from this.

It is the final  word of Garab Dorje,

Final extract of the axalted mind of the three transmissions.

Restrictedly intended for heart children,

It is the profound meaning.

Conversation of the heart , heart conversation.

Do not lose this essential meaning, essence of meaning!

Do not neglect the instructions!

Hitting the Essence in Three Words
“The Special Teaching of the Wise and Glorious King”

Homage to the master!

The view is Longchen Rabjam: infinite, vast expanse.

Meditation is Khyentse Özer: rays of wisdom and love.

Action is Gyalwé Nyugu, that of the bodhisattvas.

One who practises in such a way,

May well attain enlightenment in this very life.

And even if not, what happiness! What joy! A la la!

1. Introducing directly the face of rigpa in itself

As for the view, Longchen Rabjam,

Three words hit the vital point.

First, relax and release your mind,

Neither scattered, nor concentrated, without thoughts.

While resting in this even state, at ease,

Suddenly let out a mind-shattering ‘phat!’,

Fierce, forceful and abrupt. Amazing!

There is nothing there: transfixed in wonder,

Struck by wonder, and yet all is transparent and clear.

Fresh, pure and sudden, so beyond description:

Recognize this as the pure awareness of dharmakāya.

The first vital point is:  introducing directly the face of rigpa in itself.

2. The second vital point is: decide upon one thing, and one thing only

Then, whether in a state of movement or stillness,

Of anger or attachment, happiness or sorrow,

All the time, in any situation,

Recognize that dharmakāya you recognized before,

And mother and child clear light, already acquainted, will reunite.

Rest in the aspect of awareness, beyond all description.

Stillness and bliss, clarity and thinking: disrupt them, again and again,

Suddenly striking with the syllable of skillful means and wisdom.

With no difference between meditation and post-meditation,

No division between sessions and breaks,

Always remain in this indivisible state.

But, until stability is attained,

It is vital to meditate, away from all distractions and busyness,

Dividing the practice into proper meditation sessions.

All the time, in any situation,

Abide by the flow of what is just dharmakāya.

Decide with absolute conviction that there is nothing other than this—

The second vital point is: decide upon one thing, and one thing only.

3. The third vital point is: confidence directly in the liberation of rising thoughts

At that point, whether attachment or aversion, happiness or sorrow—

All momentary thoughts, each and every one,

Upon recognition, leave not a trace behind.

For recognize the dharmakāya in which they are freed,

And just as writing vanishes on water,

Arising and liberation become natural and continuous.

And whatever arises is food for the bare rigpa emptiness,

Whatever stirs in the mind is the inner power of the dharmakāya king,

Leaving no trace, and innately pure. What joy!

The way things arise may be the same as before,

But the difference lies in the way they are liberated: that’s the key.

Without this, meditation is but the path of delusion,

With it, even without meditating, there’s the state of dharmakāya—

The third vital point is: confidence directly in the liberation of rising thoughts.

4. Colophon

For the View which has the three vital points,

Meditation, the union of wisdom and love,

Is accompanied by the Action common to all the bodhisattvas.

Were all the buddhas to confer,

No instruction would they find greater than this,

Brought out as a treasure from the depth of transcendental insight,

By the tertön of dharmakāya, the inner power of rigpa,

Nothing like ordinary treasures of earth and stone,

For it is the final testament of Garab Dorje,

The essence of the wisdom mind of the three transmissions.

It is entrusted to my heart disciples, sealed to be secret.

It is profound in meaning, my heart’s words.

It is the words of my heart, the crucial key point.

This crucial point: never hold it cheap.

Never let this instruction slip away from you.

This is the special teaching of the wise and glorious king.

En tout temps et en toute situation,

Toutes les pensées passagères, sans aucune exception,

Dans cette reconnaissance, ne laissent aucune trace.

Reconnaissez le dharmakâya où elles sont libérées,

Ne laissant aucune trace, inné et pur. Quelle joie !

Même si tout s’élève comme auparavant,

Ils ne trouveraient nulle instruction supérieure à celle-ci.

Son sens est profond, ce sont les paroles de mon cœur ;

Il est le discours de mon cœur, le point-clé fondamental ;

Ce point crucial, ne le négligez jamais !

Ne laissez jamais cette instruction vous échapper !
