Nói tóm lại, Độc Giác Phật là vị ẩn cư và tu giải thoát chỉ cho chính bản thân mình mà thôi—Realizer of conditions—A Pratyeka Buddha is the solitary (awakened) sage of Indian life whose ideal was incompatible with that of the Bodhisattva, in that he walked alone, and having attained his Enlightenment, passed into Nirvana, indifferent to the woes of men. In summary, Pratyeka-Buddha is one who lives in seclusion and obtains emancipation for himself only.
